Sub-regional instability, conflict, the emergence of armed groups, the deterioration of law and order, and armed criminality have all contributed to the proliferation and illicit circulation of small arms and light weapons in Côte d’Ivoire. This study analyzes all aspects of small arms and light weapons in Côte d’Ivoire in order to help formulate a national plan of action to combat the proliferation, circulation, and illegal use of small arms and light weapons in the country.
