This issue brief explores the Liberian public's perceptions and experiences of crime and victimization in 2009 and 2010. It provides information on the types of violence reported, how violence is perpetrated, where it takes place, when it occurs, and who represent the main perpetrators and victims. This is the second of five issue briefs drawing upon the Small Arms Survey in Liberia, conducted seven years after the end of the civil war. The survey generated knowledge on perceptions of security and present-day patterns of victimization, respondents’ exposure to violence, and responses to threats in communities.
