This paper analyzes China's foreign policy toward Greater Central Asia. According to the author, Beijing has been a loyal supporter of the sitting governments in Central Asia and has no interest in assisting in overthrowing the current secular governments in favor of potentially more religiously oriented regimes. As a result, military cooperation between China and the Central Asian states has increased significantly, with Beijing focusing on anti-terrorist activities.
