This issue of Russian Analytical Digest considers the Russian political context in the wake of the 2011 presidential and Duma elections. The first article examines the protest movement that has come to the fore. The second, discusses the regulation reform governing political party registration and participation in elections. This issue also reprints an interview with Vitaly Nomokonov about the removal of Sergei Dar’kin as Governor of Primorsky Krai during the presidential election campaign.
