This issue includes analytical articles and field reports on various themes in the Central Asia-Caucasus region in March 2004. The articles analyze Georgia's relations to the autonomous region of Adjara, the tensions in the relations between the US and Uzbekistan, China's efforts to raise the profile of Shanghai Cooperation Organization, and Pakistan's operation against Islamic militants in Waziristan. The field reports cover the drug situation in Kyrgyzstan, the Tajik drug control agency, the meeting to determine Caspian Sea legal states, and living with HIV in Kazakhstan.
