This issue includes analytical articles and field reports on various themes in the Central Asia-Caucasus region in April 2004. The articles analyze fighting terrorism in Pakistan's tribal areas, the language debate in Kazakhstan, the outbreak of violence in Afghanistan, and Georgian President Saakashvili's success in the parliamentary elections.
