This issue includes analytical articles and field reports on various themes in the Central Asia-Caucasus region in January 2005. The articles analyze the Russian-Armenian relationship, the political succession in Central Asia, Georgia's domestic political situation, and the potential for the revolutions spreading to Kyrgyzstan. The field reports cover the reaction of Kazakhstan's regime to the revolutions in Central Asia, the municipal elections in Azerbaijan, the state of Kyrgyzstan's security services and Turkmenistan's parliamentary elections.
