This issue includes analytical articles and field reports on various themes in the Central Asia-Caucasus region in February 2005. The articles analyze the situation of warlords in Afghanistan, Central Asia's water problem, Pakistan's relations of with Central Asia, and the elections in Kyrgyzstan. The field reports cover the success of Georgian military reforms, reforms in Uzbekistan, the influence of religious hardliners in Afghanistan, and the situation of the Kyrgyz opposition newspaper.
