This report provides an overview of issues facing the Central Asia-Caucasus region, with a particular focus on security-related topics. It includes a brief analysis of the impact of Turkey's economic predicament on their economic influence in Central Asia, followed by a discussion of the security dynamics of Russian airbases in Kyrgyzstan and an anlaysis of the interaction between WTO accession and sustainable development. The report further discusses Russian coercive moves in Central Asia and concludes with news bites and field reports from Kazakhstan, Russia, Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan.
