This report initially examines the ongoing problems President Isaias Afwerki's regime faces in Eritrea and then maps out six possible scenarios that could play themselves out in a post-Afwerki era. Any transition to a new era, however, is expected to be disorderly to some degree. The report therefore concludes that a coalition of regional and international actors should work together to facilitate a controlled transition when the time comes.
