This issue of the RAD examines the growing role of right-wing extremism in both Russian politics and society. The first article looks at how an increasing number of high-profile ultra-nationalist groups and figures are penetrating mainstream political discourse, to include three new 'discussion clubs' made up of radical publicists, journalists, politicians, and academics. The second article then examines the role of neo-Nazi movements in Russia and their growing vigilantism, which they argue is justified by popular support.
