This paper examines China’s current political, economic and security relations with Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA), which feature prominently in the region’s industrial, agricultural, natural resources, health services and infrastructure sectors. Given Beijing’s growing presence in SSA, the paper’s author concludes that the EU and US should try to collaborate with it on the region’s future development, and thereby promote its stability, security and prosperity.
