This issue summarizes developments, during the month of July 2013, of 70 situations of ongoing or potential conflict. These are listed alphabetically by region and provide references and links to more detailed information sources. The report monitors whether the overall situation in each case has significantly deteriorated, improved or remained unchanged. Moreover, it alerts readers to situations where there is a particular risk of escalated conflict or, conversely, a conflict resolution opportunity.
