This opinion piece talks about the transition process in Libya after Gaddafi. It gives a brief description of the transition process from 2011 to 2013 and suggests that the slow process has led the population to distrust the bodies elected in 2012. The author argues the weak administration increases the likelihood that the militias will maintain their weapons and that this reluctance to disarm presents serious threats to the public and the legitimacy of the state. He also talks about the responsibilities and actions of NATO and the UN in the country.
