This paper looks at Japan's aviation industry and the place it holds in Prime Minister Shinzo Abe's 'Three Arrows' economic strategy to revitalize the Japan's economy. The author argues that by driving forward with his reform efforts and targeting the uncompetitive landscape of the aviation industry, Abe can demonstrate his political will for economic change and that Japan is back in business and cleared for takeoff.
