This brief talks about the negotiations between Iran and the P5+1 countries (the US, UK, France, China, Germany, and Russia) over the former's nuclear weapons program. The author suggests that while the talks could lead to an initial deal that could prompt further progress on the issue, he also thinks that the negotiations could collapse and increase the risk of Iran getting a nuclear bomb. Therefore, he suggests that the US should not push for too much in the negotiations, such as a complete dismantling of Iran’s fuel-cycle activities.
