This brief looks at the political situation and challenges in Georgia after the parliamentary election in 2012 and analyzes how the EU could help the country in becoming a well-functioning democracy. The author argues that the EU should build trust with the new government and align its assistance closely with Georgia's needs - all while maintaining an impartial assessment of the political developments on the ground.
