This policy brief explores the problem of penetrating heavily defended airspace by future air forces. Indeed, because advances in electronics and computer processing are occurring more rapidly and at a lower cost than advances in aeronautics and stealth technology, the brief's authors urge the US Department of Defense (DoD) to changes its acquisition policy and puts more emphasis on electronic systems and protection technologies.
