According to this report, the influx of Syrian refugees into Turkey are stretching Ankara’s aid-providing capacities to the point that long-term adjustments will be necessary, including greater burden sharing by the international community. Additionally, Turkey's humanitarian efforts on both its territory and in northern Syria may indeed be commendable, but its people do feel simultaneous sympathy and unease toward the refugees – yes, an unease that is shaping its support for Syrian rebel groups and its regional politics.
