This paper examines the threat and risk of cyber-attacks on converged Information and Operational Technology in America, suggesting there is a growing need to secure this infrastructure. The author says the National Institute of Standards and Technology as well as the Department of Homeland Security need to work together to achieve this goal. He recommends the development of a holistic strategy for securing digital infrastructure and data centers, focusing on expanded information sharing and learning between information technology and operational technology groups.
