This report provides an overview of the Huthis, which is a prominent insurgent group in Yemen, and ponders how their success against others could complicate the country's transition to democratic governance. Yes, Huthi leaders continue to participate in the National Dialogue Conference and support Yemen's political transition, but their fighters are also operating against rival groups at the same time. The violence, if it escalates, could draw Yemen’s fragile state into a prolonged conflict, and thereby imperil what is still a nascent political consensus.
