This text includes seven chapters that explore current and future areas of cooperation between the EU and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). Although subject to the vicissitudes of regional and international influences, the areas of cooperation could include the following: trade and financial services; banking and insurance; energy development; maritime security; higher education and scientific research; and media and communications.
