This commentary discusses the relationship between Turkish Prime Minister Erdoğan's government and the country's Kurdish population in the run up to Turkey's August 2014 presidential elections. The author also discusses the relationship between Erdoğan and Turkey's Kurdish political forces as well as the prospects for a Kurdish peace process.
