This edition of the CAD analyzes the status of the Nagorny-Karabakh conflict in the wake of violent clashes that occurred in August 2014. More specifically, the first article describes the recent violence along the area's Line of Contact and what the potential for 'conflict transformation' might be in the future. The second article then considers the prospects for peace and peace negotiations after the recent skirmishes. Finally, the third article traces the history of civil society in Nagorny-Karabakh and provides an overview of its status at this time.
