This issue of the Central Asia-Caucasus Analyst includes articles on 1) Kyrgyzstan’s security predicament and its implications for the country's Eurasian Union membership; 2) the unlikeliness of an Afghan political settlement before the anticipated withdrawal of US troops in 2014; 3) the repercussions of Moscow’s expansionist foreign policy in the north Caucasus; and 4) the threat to Kazakhstan posed by jihadists.
