Nov 2014

This brief summarizes the May 2014 discussions conducted by delegates to the UN Convention on Certain Conventional Weapons (CCW) on lethal autonomous weapon systems (LAWS). The authors provide an overview of LAWS and argue that further discussions, due to be held in the Spring of 2015, should dive deeper into key areas, including technical issues and clarify nascent terminology.
