This brief wonders what US-Iran cooperation might look like in the wake of a successful nuclear deal in 2015. After providing an overview of both the obstacles and opportunities for further cooperation (on maritime security, Afghan stabilization, and counterterrorism, for example), the brief closes with a number of recommendations, including that Washington should pursue a patient, limited, and incremental approach in forging ties with Tehran.
