This report examines the conflicts that exist in Sudan and South Sudan as well as the links between the conflicts in the two countries. In general, the authors contend that the conflicts in both countries are increasingly interconnected and that they threaten to bring yet more violence and instability to the region. They also provide recommendations for China, the US, the UN Security Council, Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) and the AU on how to help deescalate the conflicts.
