This issue of the RAD looks at Russia's economic woes. More specifically, it includes articles on 1) the falling value of ruble and the reasons for its fall (a drop in oil prices, an unfavorable exchange rate and growing inflation all stand out), and 2) the socio-economic costs of preserving monotowns (one-industry towns), which Moscow keeps subsidizing in order to stave off potential social unrest.
