This issue of the CAD looks at the interaction between religion and politics in Azerbaijan, Georgia and Armenia. More specifically, the articles focus on 1) rising Islamic activism in Azerbaijan; 2) the debate over the role of religion in post-communist Georgia; and 3) the Armenian Apostolic Church’s ability to help promote democracy within Armenia.
