This issue of the CAD includes three articles that take stock of civil society in the South Caucasus region. The first article examines Armenian civil society and how it no longer just consists of NGOs; the second piece provides a Gramscian view of the concept of civil society and applies it to Azerbaijan; and the final one looks at the public perception of NGOs in Georgia in light of the accusations leveled against a number of them by former Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili in early 2015.
