This paper discusses Turkey's and the EU's energy profiles to identify the limits of, and potential for, convergence and cooperation regarding the supply of natural gas. Cooperation includes the diversification of gas supply and transit through the Southern Corridor as well as the convergence of regulatory frameworks and markets. He contends that EU-Turkey cooperation on energy issues will be critical if both actors want to develop their projects and ambitions in this area and that it is in their best interest to cooperate on these matters in a concrete, pragmatic and non-politicized way.
