This paper provides an overview of a conference on the key migration challenges in the Mediterranean area, the impact of the Arab Spring on migration in the region, and developments in patterns of regional migration. The conference also featured discussion on regional responses to the challenges created by migration, with a particular focus on Morocco, Turkey and Tunisia.
