This brief examines the status of Myanmar’s ongoing peace process. More specifically, the brief’s authors discuss 1) the origins of the process and how it has evolved since 2011; 2) the current struggles to establish a nationwide ceasefire agreement (NCA) in the country, which the country’s armed groups remain loath to sign; and 3) the possible impact of the upcoming November 2015 elections on Myanmar's peace process in general and the NCA in particular.
