This issue of the RAD features two articles that focus on Russia’s recent intervention in Syria. The first article argues that Moscow runs a very real risk of getting bogged down in the country and that its efforts to support the Assad regime will not bring a military or diplomatic end to the conflict. The second article then analyzes the coverage of the Syrian conflict in the Russian media and discusses Moscow's efforts to broker a diplomatic solution to the conflict.
