This report examines the political and economic crises in Zimbabwe and the possible strategies of their resolutions. It points out that, ultimately, the stalemate in Zimbabwe is most likely to be broken by domestic resistance since the conditions are becoming so dire. The authors suggest that it is incumbent on the main opposition party, Movement for Democratic Change (MDC), and the civil society to try to manage the birth of a new dynamic that would also energize the international community.
