This report examines the impact of Colombia’s internal armed conflict on its neighboring states. The report proposes that Colombia’s neighbors must support Colombia to end its conflict despite their great reluctance to do so. The paper introduces the setting of the conflict with a focus on insurgents ability to freely cross state borders, the connection between weapons and drugs, refugees and distrust among the states involved. Subsequently, the paper introduces Colombia’s neighbors’ domestic situation as well as their view on the conflict in Colombia.
