This report addresses the question of whether and how the so-called Roadmap to Israeli-Palestinian peace really can deliver the results that its name suggests. The paper outlines background and content of the Roadmap, discusses political developments in the Palestinian Authority and reviews political dynamics in Israel. Further attention is devoted to the US and other international actors. The paper argues that the Roadmap is the only diplomatic instrument available that is endorsed by all relevant international players and at least rhetorically embraced by the two protagonists.
