This report discusses implications of Iran’s nuclear program before the background of an agreement on this issue between Iran and major EU countries and the long-term differences between Iran and the US. The paper assesses capacity and intent of Iran’s nuclear program and reviews Iran’s stance on weapons of mass destruction. Furthermore, the paper summarizes Iran’s domestic discussion as well as the position of outside players, including the US, EU, Russia and China. The report argues that the EU-Iranian agreement needs to be vigorously followed up and strengthened.
