This briefing outlines the transfer of former Yugoslav President Slobodan Milošević to the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia in the Hague. Reactions in Serbia were mixed, while the international community welcomed the extradition. The briefing also outlines the domestic crisis in the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia and concludes that the federal state must redefine itself quickly, otherwise it will cease to exist.
