This report addresses the fate of the Brcko area after the end of the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina and after the Dayton Peace Agreement (DPA) postponed a decision on its future. The paper presents the discussions on the final status of the Brcko and outlines own proposals for its future status. The paper discusses the importance of Brcko from the viewpoint of the different ethnic groups and introduces its suggestions for the short and medium term. The paper argues that Brcko must remain under international jurisdiction for at least five years.
