This report reviews Yugoslav domestic policy developments with a focus on the dismissal of both the security chief and the head of the army general staff and on the role Yugoslav President Slobodan Milosevic plays in this context. The paper outlines and analyzes the cases of the security chief and of the head of the army and subsequently elaborates on Milosevic’s thinking. The paper pays further attention to the Kosovo, Montenegrin concerns and Milosevic’s next steps.
