This report provides information on the Bosnian-Serb Republika Srpska (RS) entity with a focus on the removal of RS President Nikola Poplasen, the decision on the status of the municipality of Brcko and the NATO air-strikes on Yugoslavia. The paper examines the background to these three crises and their effect on events in Republika Srpska from the election of Poplasen in September 1998 to the aftermath of the Kosovo crisis in April 1999. It analyzes the political agenda of the main parties in RS and examines the stability of the government and the RS.
