This report provides information on Bosnia’s municipal elections of 8 April 2000 and related developments and backgrounds. The paper explores shifting party preferences in the different parts of Bosnia, including the emergence of democratic alternatives. The paper sheds light on the run up to the municipal elections and introduces their meaning as well as the results for each ethnic group. According to the paper, the election results proved both encouraging and disappointing.
