This report provides an analysis of the conflict in Kosovo in 1999 focusing on the violations of international humanitarian law. The first chapter outlines the applied methodology; the second chapter describes the law to be applied in the report and gives a short introduction to the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia (ICTY). The third chapter outlines the history of the Kosovo conflict, the military and security forces involved and subsequent developments. The final chapter seeks to apply the law, as outlined, to the facts as described, and explore the issue of individual criminal responsibility for the violations of international humanitarian law thus identified.
