This report discusses options to overcome Kosovo’s undecided final status in order to end uncertainty and to give the involved parties a reliable framework. The paper reviews different status options at hand, including indefinite protectorate, autonomy within Serbia and independence. Further attention is devoted to Kosovo’s regional integration before the paper develops a roadmap to final status. The paper argues that conditional independence under some form of international trusteeship is the most realistic solution.
