This paper addresses the return of war refugees to Bosnia and Herzegovina and political questions related to that. The paper outlines the respective developments in 2002, assesses the impact of return upon nationalist stereotypes and discusses issues related to space and return. Subsequently, the paper explores several reasons not to return, presents three case studies from Bosnian regions and analyzes the impact of amendments to the constitutions of Bosnia's two entities. The paper argues that the viability of Bosnia depend in large measure upon whether refugees can stay and prosper.
