This report provides information on Serbia’s domestic policy after the assassination of Prime Minister Zoran Djindjic that was accompanied by a swift reform drive. The paper reviews the accomplishments of the police campaign against the assassins and discusses reform steps taken by the government. Subsequently, the paper addresses steps taken to slow down the reform drive, discusses why the Serbian government cannot continue reforms and asks, whether there will be early parliamentary elections in 2003. The paper argues that in the current political environment there is little hope of continuing real reform.
