This report addresses state and development of Kosovo after the indictment for war crimes of its Prime Minister Haradinaj and the anniversary of the March 2004 riots. The paper reviews the domestic situation and explores the capacities of the extremists. Subsequently, the paper traces the changes in the political landscape as well as the struggles between the major parties and reviews the issues of final status and state building. The paper argues that the outlook for the time after final status has been determined is rather unclear and has much potential for instability.
