This briefing examines state-sponsored violence in Zimbabwe. It points to continuing farm invasions, abuse of the rule of law and basic human rights and outlines the situation in the region of Mashonaland West. The paper further analyzes the impact of Zimbabwe's crisis on the wider region of Southern Africa, and possible reactions of neighboring countries, in particular South Africa.
